  The Lakes Adventure Challenge is a competitive and fun adventure style team race, set in the breathtaking Lake District around Lake Windermere and the Grizedale Forest. It fits perfectly into a weekend and is great for a group of friends or work colleagues as well as for raising vital funds for Beating Bowel Cancer.

  The Trial is an annual event held at different venues in the Lake District in mid-September. It is considered to be one of the major events in the fell-runner's calendar. The Men's and Women's courses will be severe tests of route choice, navigational skill and stamina in difficult mountain country.

  Founded 1968 the OMM is the originator of the 2 day mountain marathon type event and is for teams of 2, carrying all clothing, equipment, tent, sleeping bag, food for 36 hours, navigating one's own route and including an overnight camp. With refreshments provided by ourselves & the Scouts, free, to all competitors after the event
 
 
   
Hellrunner "Hell Up North"   November 2, 2008

  HellRunner™ is over multi-terrain and varying underfoot conditions. There will be everything from running tracks and trails to water-filled areas and plenty of steep hills. Expect to get very wet! It will be nature at its’ toughest. The course will be marked but do not expect to see mile or kilometre markers….that’s for those softy road running types. All you need to know is that the course will be probably more than 10 and less than 12 miles in length. Hey! With what we have in store, who’s counting?
